69. Need for closure
People have a need for closure. As soon
as there is a disturbing open question, we have the desire to immediately find
a solution for it and put it behind us. We prefer a fast decision whose
correctness is uncertain to a long and grueling search for a complete solution which may appear to be endless. Although we do not
have infinite time to come up with answers, it is advisable that we think well
before coming to any conclusions, probably a bit longer and more thoroughly
than we would prefer to.
